October 18, 2006 (FinancialWire) The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has approved a consent order requiring the divestiture of Fisher Scientific International Inc.'s (NYSE: FSH) Genevac business, a $17 million product line, and granted Fisher and Thermo Electron Corporation (NYSE: TMO) early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodi no Antitrust Improvements Act for the pending merger of Thermo and Fisher.
